GloFish® Starfire Red® Pristellas back in stock
5" Braziliansis |
Hey folks, been a crazy busy week around here and hopefully you're all seeing the same thing. With the uncertainty of tariffs until yesterday it did have a bit of an impact on some of the imported items but all in all we still managed to get loaded up on quite a bit of fish. Still managed to get decent shipments in from Bangkok, Indo and Sri Lanka. The latter was the one we were most concerned about since that's where the majority of our Guppies currently come from but managed to full restocks just about every variety. And as usual got plenty of Florida raised fish as well.
Got in a new shipment from Colombia for the first time in a couple weeks. Nothing particularly new but certainly some much needed restocks including Colombian Sharks, Red Hooks, Farlowella, Snowball Plecos and the highly coveted Habrosus Cory. Also got in some more bread and butter items like Clown And Rubber Plecos. We did get in some more Otos but the supplier was only able to send us less than half of what we ordered so probably not filling a ton of these.
Like I had mentioned we did manage to get a fair amount of far east inventory back in stock. My personal favorite has to be the Orange Chromides. Neat Asian oddball cichlid you just see very often any more. Used to be a staple in the hobby thirty years ago but far less frequently seen these days. Got a much needed restock on Pea Puffers. These always sell out in a hurry. Also got in a fresh batch of Chili Oscars which have been one of the only varieties available as of late. Redtail Cats and Clown Knives also got a restock if you're in need of some ridiculously huge fish. On the opposite end of the spectrum got in new batches of Panda, Green Fire and Glass Bloodfin Tetras.
And no email would be complete without me mentioning some Florida raised Cichlids. Got in some 5" Green Terrors that some how made it though the week with being completely sold out so looks like you've got one more chance at these. Forgot to mention these last week but we did get in some spectacular 5"+ Braziliansis. The pic above does not do them justice. They are one of the best looking fish here. 5" Heckelii are also equally impressive. The pic I sent last week was a stock photo and what we have on hand are much much nicer than that. And the latest batch of assorted medium male Peacocks is outstanding.

Habrosus Cory! Unfortunately only got a small handful of these and will likely be sold out by Monday. |
Arcuatus Cory came in nice and solid as usual. One of the sturdiest Cories we offer. |
Flagtail Prochilodus came in around 4.5" and look to be in great shape. Not showing a ton of color in the tails yet but that will change quickly. |
Pinktail Chalceus came in with bright red/pink tails pushing a little past 4". |
Redhook Silver Dollar are back in after a couple weeks. Absolute Colombian staple that everyone should be stocking. |
Medium Silver Arowanas are back and are sure to sell out in a hurry. |
Blood Parrots vary in size from week to week even though we order the same item number each and every time. That's why I feature them so often so that way you know exactly what to expect when you order these. |
Platinum Parrots are back after a brief absence. A tank of these mixed with Bloods and Blue Tigers makes for quite a standout display even if it would make people nauseous. Just remember, stock what sells, not just what you like. |
New Chili Oscars are a bit smaller than the last batch but still nice and bright. Definitely my favorite of all the aquarium made strains. |
New batch of Orange Chromides are probably the best I've seen come through here in awhile. Super bright orange with the red spotting already starting to show. They're so nice in fact that Brody put some in his tank at his desk. But I'm sure he'll be bored with them by the end of the week (tomorrow) lol. |
Ran out of Pea Puffers last week but just got more in last night but they're fairly limited. These tend to be seasonal so not a bad idea to load up a little heavy on these. |
Kuboai Rasboras are back in. They came in a little small like usual but these get super bright very quickly. |
Latest batch of Scarlet Badis are about as big and as bright as I've seen come through here. By far one of the most popular nano fish there is. |
BB Gobies continue to come in regularly and continue to hold up each week. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it lol. |

Checkerboard Barbs are coming in big enough where you can see the pattern starting to develop on them. These are one of the most underrated Barbs which is unfortunate because these look amazing as adults and they're very peaceful comapred to most other barbs. |
Red Paradise are an Asia import this week. There's quite a difference between these and the Florida raised strain where these lack any pattern whatsoever. Very unique appearance. |
Medium Yellow Rainbows might be the best looking Rainbow here this week. Color is super bright on these. |
Gold White Clouds got even bigger this week. |
World's largest white clouds! ok, that might be a bit of a stretch but not by much. They running huge currently but as you know that can change very quickly. Please note that the color on these looks so amazing cuz the pic was taken under natural sunlight. Depending on what lighting they're kept under they may not look as bright. |
Only got a handful left of the Jumbo Green Tiger Barbs we brought to super but they are stunning. Get with your sales rep early if you want a shot at these as there's only around 40 pieces left. Definitely the biggest I've ever seen. |
Hard to ever go wrong with Panda Tetras. Not only do they have a great name but their black and white contrast stands out from across the room. |
Green Fire tetras are back are already showing really good color. This is one of the more underrated Tetras and I'll never understand why as these guys have bright green and red contrast once they settle in. |
Gold Pristellas continue to be one of the nicest Tetras here. This is one we produce here so we usually have pretty good stock on these and size is typically consistent on them. |
I know I mention these just about every week but there's a reason for that. They're freakin awesome. Been consistently huge for the last month or so. This won't last forever so definitely stock up. I would even go as far to say that you should consider putting some on display, they're that nice. |
Glass Bloodfins got a restock this week. These are nice substitute for regular Bloodfins since those have been in such short supply lately. |
This week's batch of Flowerhorns are some of the nicest I've seen come through here. Super bight color and some of them are already starting to show the development of humps. |
Still have some 4" and 5" Trimacs available. If you've never tried these before you should. They're one of the species used in developing Flowerhorns but finding pure strains has become increasingly difficult and these are highly sought after by Cichlid enthusiasts. |
Select Gold Severums are running way oversize. Practically mediums at this point. Good color in the fins but the body is a little pale. Feed pellets that are rich in beta carotene and this will help them to color up quick. |
I mentioned 5" Green Terrors last week but that was before we actually got them in stock. Only got a handful but what we got in have great color and size is pretty on point. They're a lot brighter in the water but they tend to darken the second you put them in a net. |
This guy as well as the next four pics are all from the current medium assorted male peacock mix. Definitely a few haps and a couple hybrids in there but all are really nice and brightly colored. |

Red Top Lwanda |

Yellow Blaze Litho |
Still got quite a few Pagoda Snails in stock but not sure for how long as these tend to disappear for months at a time so load up while you can. |
Pumpkin Shrimp are a new(ish) variety that we've started bringing in. Lotta variation on these from color and tone. |
Got a restock on Red Crystal Shrimp this week . Seems like no matter how many we bring in it's never enough so order early if you want some. |
New batch of Bamboo Shrimp are just as creepy as ever. I swear these look like underwater cockroaches but they remain very popular. They look menacing with what appear to be large pincers in the front but these open of to display feather like extensions that are used for filter feeding. |
Not exactly the most exciting thing on the list but 4"+ plecos are on the list again. Since the hurricanes larger plecos have been in short supply but we got in quite a few this week so hopefully this is a sign of things to come. |
SA Redtail Cats are back and came in nice and robust. As always be sure to keep these guys well fed as they can skinny out very quickly due to their rapid metabolisms at this age. Live is fine to get them started but these guys will take to dry and frozen foods very quickly. |
Garra Rufa, also known as Doctor Fish, arrived larger than expected. These fish are popular for their unique ability to nibble away dead skin, providing a natural exfoliation. Despite their larger size, they can still perform their skin-cleansing duties effectively. The oversized Doctor Fish might offer a more noticeable experience during the treatment. |
New batch of Borneo Suckers aka Butterfly Loach came in looking great. Much better size than the last couple of batches and the markings are bright yellow and really stand out. The ones in the pic are actually some of the smallest ones in the group. |
3" Clown Loaches came in a bit undersize but very fat and healthy looking so far. Larger sized Clowns have been very scarce for quite some time so these are a welcome surprise. |
