Packing and Shipping Tropical Fish involves multiple tasks, such as researching weather of destinations, inspecting the fish before they are properly packaged, transporting packaged fish to the airport and tracking flights. We use both commercial airlines or Federal Express.
Our packing techniques have proven to be very beneficial to our customers. We ship approximately 8,000 boxes of fish each week to destinations throughout the United States as well as destinations in Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America and the Caribbean. We currently have a less than a 1% loss factor, which is a very important aspect of our business.
There are many elements that have a strong influence on shipping tropical fish. Proper heating and cooling of boxes is determined by the weather of destinations as well as the species being shipped.
