    Large Male Hap/Peacock hybrid.
    Hey folks,
little bit of bad news. Due to circumstances beyond our control were unable to get any Colombia shipments in this week. So unfortunately we will be out of some staples including Otos, Spotted Pictus Cats, Clown Plecos etc. We are hoping to double up on orders from two of our Colombia shippers next week but no guarantee as of yet. We are also working on getting in Peru to help shore up some of the gaps. In better news we did get quite a bit in the way of far east imports as well as a lot of restocks on some Florida home grown faves. So there are still plenty of great fish to choose from.

We'll start with Indo. This is probably the most I've been excited about an Indo shipment in a while. My absolute favorite item to come in are the Apistogramma Agassizi Double Reds. I know that's a mouthful and for those of you who aren't familiar with these they are a type of dwarf South American Cichlid. A relative of the super popular Blu Ram, these guys come in a variety of different color morphs, stay small and are relatively peaceful when it comes to different species. I've kept these in pairs in planted aquariums with Cardinal Tetras. My next favorite in this shipment are the Tiger Datnoids. We got these in about a month ago and they sold out immediately so we doubled down on this order. You'll see in the pic down below that these are even nicer than the last batch. And last but definitely not least are the Clouded Archers. Hate the name but love the fish. This is a true freshwater species and are quite hardy. I recommend setting up a s midsized display with these and you'll be able to train them to spit crickets out from between your fingers. Customers go nuts for this and is a great crowd pleaser to do live feedings on the weekends.

A lot of great Florida raised fish are making their way back into inventory including Gold Barbs. Don't wanna hype these up too much since I don't know how long we'll be able to keep them in stock but as you'll see from the pic down below this batch came in great. Also got restocked on one of my personal favorites, Black German Rams. These can vary from one bloodline to the next but these came in about as dark as I've seen. Some strains tend to be faded. Joe used to refer to those as Indigo Rams. But these are definitely a good example of what the strain should look like. And of course I can't talk about Florida raised fish without bringing up some of the Cichlids. Brody says I've been a little heavy handed on the Africans lately so I'll just focus on the Centrals and Southies.
One of the most overlooked gems are the 5" Heckelii. I mentioned these a week or two ago but don't think they actually made it onto the list. These are absolutely fantastic with great color and full streamers. Pic doesn't do them justice so you'll just have to trust me on this one. A couple weeks ago we featured a pic of some adult True Red Terrors. Now while we don't have large specimens available we did get some more juveniles of that exact same bloodline back in. These are outstanding as adults and sell out very quickly. And lastly we got in Tuba Cichlids. Now I'm sure many of you are unfamiliar with these as they tend be pretty rare. I have a pic of the juveniles we have but definitely Google these and you'll see just how incredible they are once they mature. Cichlid enthusiasts will knock down your door if you find out you have these. Very tough to find and highly sought after.

I'll wrap things up with a brief summary of our Discus selection this week. We have been trying to bring  more and more in each week of different varieties to see how the market is on them currently and the results have not been disappointing. We've been either sold out or nearly sold out each and every week so this week we upped the anty brought in more than I've seen in the entire time I've been here. These are mostly from Singapore and the size and color is great on all of them. I mean it when I say you can't go wrong with any of the types we have in stock. Check out the pics below and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Apistogramma Agassizi Double Reds are in stock for the first time in over a year. these are probably some of the nicest I've ever seen come through here. Nearly full grown and the color is outstanding. This pic was taken less than an hour after they arrived and they still look fantastic.
Electric Blue rams got a restock this week and they're about as big as they ever come in with nice rich color. Some strains tend to be more gray than blue but that's not the case with these.
I know I mention these a lot but any time Flowerhorns come in looking good I feel the need to feature them. You can often tell from an early age if it's a good strain or not based on the fact that they're already showing color and some even showing early growth of a hump.
This weeks Blood Parrots came in big again. These vary from one batch to the next so we never know what we're gonna get until they arrive. Really good color on these as well.
Clouded Archers are back and they look fantastic. Around 2" which is the perfect size for these as they tend to acclimate better at a younger age. For those of you who aren't familiar with these this is a true freshwater species. Once they've settled in in they tend to hold up very well and make for an excellent display.
Tiger Datnoids are back and look even better than the last batch. Just came in last night but they're already showing some nice gold coloration with broad vertical bands. These often come in stressed and muddy looking but these are outstanding so far.
Still have a handful of Black Widow Frontosa and they've been here long enough now to start showing their aberrant pattern. Very unique morph compared to other types of Frontosa and always sell well due to the name.
Got in more Zig Zag Eels this week and while they are running a bit small they're big enough to see their name deserving pattern.
    Livebearers
    Green Cobra Endler's

    Tricolor Dumbo

Gold Barbs are back! Not sure for how log though as these are Florida bred and availability hasn't been very consistent on these. Size is great as well as the color and pattern. These vary from batch to batch so don't sleep on these.
Longfin Rosy Barbs continue to come in nice and bright with good finnage. Male to female ratio is also pretty good and the females are sporting nice gold coloration so good batch overall.
Gold Neon Rosy Barbs are in from the far east. They're definitely a bit on the small size but the color is nice and bright so can't go wrong with these.
Black Ruby Barbs have also made a triumphant return after be absent for quite some time. Size is what you would expect after being gone for so long but these are always popular regardless especially for people who know what these little gems grow up to look like.
Black German Rams are also back after being gone for several months and they are back with a vengeance. Good size on these and super dark which is what you want on this strain. The darker the better.
Peacock Gudgeons are back to being Florida bred and are coming in with consistent size and color.
    Tetras
At the time of this writing got plenty of Red Eye Tetras in stock but that good change by the time I'm Done typing lol. But these are running a bit oversize with super bright eyes.
X-rays are one of the most unique Tetras out there. It's a toss up between these and the Longfin Blushers as to which on is creepier looking with it's exposed innards on display for the whole world to see. But people really like them since they always sell out.
Speaking of creepy, Blind Cave Tetras are back. I've never understood the fascination with these as they're just pink with no eyes. But as I learned from all my years in retail it's not about what I like, it's about what sells and these always sell.
Black Phantoms are back and are running huge. This is surprising since these are imports but these are some of the nicest I've ever seen.
Diamond Tetras are also running particularly big this week. Most of the males are sporting huge dorsal fins.
Longfin Black Skirts are in stock o'plenty and because of that they're on special this week so it's a good time to stock up.
More Glass Bloodfins arrived this week. These seem to have been more readily available than their normal counterpart as of late making them a good alternative. Plus if kept on a darker substrate these display a greenish hue over the body much like a Green Fire Tetra.
    Cichlids
5" Heckelii came in oversize with streamers intact and displaying a ton of iridescent sheen. These are very difficult to get a decent pic of out of the water as they lose that illuminances but in the tank they look amazing.
Got a handful of Jumbo Herichthys Steindachneri available. And these are jumbo. You just can't tell from the pic cuz Brody is the one holding it with his monster bear paws lol. But in all seriousness these are very rare and very doubtful we'll be able to get these again at least not at this size.
I think it's been a record setting amount of time since I've mentioned medium Electric Blue Acaras, at least two weeks lol. But we do have plenty available and they're on special this week.
I put out a pic of adult Festae aka True Re Terrors a few weeks ago and still getting stock from the same bloodlines. This a true strain and are one of the most impressive Central American Cichlids out there once they reach maturity. I guarantee you have customers out there looking for these.
Tuba Cichlids are in for the first time in ages. these don't come around often so grab some while you can.
    Albino Oscar
    Tiger Oscar
Of all the Oscars back in stock the Reds are definitely the nicest when it comes to size and color. But given lack of availability lately I would stock up on all three.
    Old World Cichlids
Got in Labeotropheus Trewavassae Marmalade in at a medium size for the first time (or least for the first time since I've been here). This is by far favorite version of this species even though it has the most confusing  common name out there, "Marmalade Cat".
We still have handful of Chalosia Elongatus left due to a labeling error. These are on the list as regular size since that's how we bought them but these are more like oversized mediums. One of the best value Cichlids here.
Albino Compressiceps are back in stock. This is another great value Cichlid. Rich lemon yellow color and very inexpensive. Should be one of the more popular albino variants out there.
Speaking of value buys, I have to say I've been pretty impressed by the 4" import Peacocks. Been here for a bit since it took a bit to get them into our inventory system and they haven't faded at all. Many are hybrid types but some show traits of genuine morphs/species like this individual that very closely resembles a Maulana Bicolor.
This is one of several gems found in the large assorted male Hap mix. There are some hybrids like this bright blue fella, but there are definitely some pure species like you'll see down below.
    Redfin Borleyi
I said I was going to mention the large assorted Haps every week as long as they kept coming in really nice so here I am keeping my word. I'm able to find a number of absolute gems every time such as this male Venustus.
Livingstoni change their coloration quickly at will depending on their mood. This individual turned solid blue the second I put him in a net. They'll display like this when their courting a female or sparring with a competing male.
Same specimen as in the pic above. This is what he looks like in a relaxed state.

Yes, I get it. This is like the four hundredth time I've featured these. But when the medium Red Nyererei stop coming in awesome I'll stop putting them in the email. Until then it's hard to argue that this isn't one of the best looking freshwater fish money can buy. Especially given the price point.
    Dynamite Discus
    Assorted 2.5"
    Leopard 2"
This Blue Diamond was found in the 2.5"-3" assorted mix.
Just like the one above, this Snakeskin was found in the same assortment.
    2"-2.5" Pigeon Blood
    2.5" Cobalt
    Inverts
The ever terrifying looking Bamboo Shrimp are back in stock this week.
    Blue Diamond Shrimp
    Red Crystal Shrimp
    Plecos & Pals
Albino Paleatus are a nice alternative to the standard albino Cory (which is Aneus based) in that they have a bright pearly sheen to them.
Hifin Green Cories got a restock this week which is a good thing given that there is a shortage on Cory varieties at the moment.
Always touch and go but we've had the current batch of Glass Cats for a couple weeks now and they look to be holding up great.
This week's batch of Redtail Cats are a bit smaller than the last but they all appear to have full bellies on them and look really solid.
Got in some oversized 2.5" Hoplo Cats this week. Despite their adult size you can basically treat these like a giant Cory. Very peaceful and an excellent bottom feeder.
