    Hey folks,

Well we are finally back up to full speed when it comes to getting orders out and new fish in. Still quite a few repairs left to be done on the farm but nothing that will impact shipping. Hope everyone who was affected by Helene and Milton are recovering quickly as well.

Got back to a normal week for incoming. Have plenty of fish here again including a new shipment from Colombia. Finally restocked on all the staple items including Otos, Clown Plecos, Snowball Plecos and lots o Corys. Also got in some very nice sized Red Hooks and Pinktail Chalceus. Arowanas are also back in as well a different type of Pike Cichlid I've not seen here before (pics down below).

In addition to Colombia we also got plenty of restocks from the far east including Blue Rams which have been in short supply for quite some time. Size is a little bit smaller but color is still pretty nice. Also got restocked on Clown Loaches so hopefully have enough to go around. speaking of loaches we still have some very nice Tiger Botias on hand. These guys work great for controlling snails in tanks with larger, more aggressive species.

We thought we might run into a shortage on a large number of Florida raised fish as a lot of the local farms were impacted by the storm but so far we've still been able to get quite a bit in including angels. This is one area we thought would be affected the most but so far we've been able to get most varieties in most sizes. That being said we should have plenty to chose from in most categories so hopefully everyone can stock up and have a strong finish to October. Let us know if you have any questions.

Pinktail Chalceus came in nice size with beautiful tails. These do best in groups with plenty of cover and lids, they get spooked easy so are likely to jump or smash into glass. Not agressive, but will eat anything that fits in their mouths.
Red Hook Silver Dollars are a nice step up from your standard silver $. Great size as well although fins are a little rough they will heal up very quickly.
Pike cichlids looks like Sveni-type (tell me if you think otherwise). A nice change from the normal "belly-crawlers", they will stay less than 8" but like most of their close cousins are agressive little buggers. Saxatilia sveni?
Arowana look great in natural sunlight because the roof is missing courtesy of Hurricane Milton.
    Large Banjo cat
Butterfly Plecos come in as L-204s which they are most certainly not, so we'll go with Butterfly Pleco. They have a flattened body most suited for high flow and well oxygenated tanks.
Arcuatus Corys are small but always a good seller.
    Punctatus Corys
Metae Corys are very nice size and sure to sell out fast.
Agasizzi Corys are very mixey in size
Colombian Zebra Plecos came in very nice size with great contrasting pattern.
    Tetras
Emperor Tetras are currently a mix of both black and regular. Apparently one our crew found some leftover in one of the vats and they got accidently mixed with together. Happy accident as the blacks are huge and usually go for more money.
Balloon Penguin Tetras are as balloony as I've seen on these and that will only get more exagerrated as they grow. Say what you want about balloon types but these are adorable and always sell out in a hurry.
Found a vat of really nice Bleeding Heart Tetras that got lost in the mix of things. Been for a while since no one realized they were still here so they have great size and color to them.
Colombian Red & Blue Tetras came in about as big as we ever get them. Don't let the pic fool ya, as soon as these guys are on substrate as opposed to bare glass they gonna color right up.
Silver Hatchets have been here for a few weeks now since we stocked up before Milton so they're as sturdy as they ever get.
Blushing Longfin White Skirt Tetras are a really neat strain. Similar to X-ray tetras they are nearly transparent with purple hue towards the front of the body.
    Florida Raised Cichlids
Amapa Redback Angels are in stock for the first time since I've been here and I'm told it's quite awhile since we've had them. If you're not familiar with this strain Google it. They're called Redback for good reason and not typically as readily available as most other Florida raised angels.
Holy cow! They're back! Geophagus Sveni are arguably the most attractive of all the Geos. These are absolute stunners as adults and sell out on name alone even as juveniles. These guys color up at a very young age and at this size I'd be willing to bet they'll start showing color for you within a matter of days.

Black German Rams continue to come in nice sized and get darker with each batch. Definitely the nicest looking ram we have currently as the regular Germans have been in short supply and have been running relatively small. These are definitely the better option.
Callochromis Melanogenys is a relatively uncommon Tanganyikan that is highly coveted by cichlid enthusiasts. Like most Tanganyikans they're not as gaudy as Malawians but they develop a nice gold coloration over the body with red markings in the fins.
Deep Water Haps aka Hap Electra are starting to show really nice color at a small size. These are one of the more docile Malawi Haps attaining a moderate size of around 5-6" and mike well with other peaceful Haps and Peacocks.
Medium Hap Nvererei continue to come in as one of the nicest fish here. Mostly males boasting bright red backs with yellow-green bodies. Terrible name but an easy sell.
Eureka Red Peacocks are starting to color up already. As soon as they get in tanks with substrate these guys will really start to pop. This is a another peacock that sells well on name alone.
Still have one tank of medium Hongi here and they look great. Bright purple with tangerine dorsals. One of the most underrated Mbuna and mix well with peacocks and smaller haps.
If you sell cichlids then you should be carrying Rock Kribs. These always have great color on both the males and females, stay around 5" and aren't particularly aggressive. Nice, inexpensive colorful Victorian Hap.

    Radical Rainbows
Like so many of the rainbows here the reds continue to come in as absolute stunners. Bright red males with nice copper females. These sell themselves.
Pic is a little blurry but the Madagascar rainbows are some of the nicest I've ever seen. Fins on the males are insane!
I've said this before and I'll say it again, Kamakas are probably the most unappreciated rainbow species out there. Metallic blue with an amazing white blaze on the males. What more could you want?
Should have put something here for size reference as these are the biggest Neon Dwarf Rainbows I've ever seen. Males are huge with bright red throughout the fins.
Featherfins are are coming in bigger again. Male heavy group with great color in the fins.
Goyder River is another underappreciated species. Might have something to do with the name. Who likes saying Goyder. It just sounds gross. Maybe try calling them Multicolor Rainbows. Much better description.
    Odds n' Ends
Chili Oscars are back in stock and are bright red as always. If you haven't tried these before I would recommend picking up a couple. They're a little pricey but sell surprisingly well. We're usually sold out in a week and numbers are always limited on these.
Got in a new batch of Electric Blue Dempseys this week and they look fantastic. this is a fish that basically sells itself but they've been coming in really nice sized lately and hope that trend continues.

More Blood Parrots came in this week and they look great. These are always tricky as one week they can come in looking like this but then the very next week they can come in half the size with no color. This definitely a good week to pick some up.
Flowerhorns are back in stock this week . Not the most practical fish in the hobby since they're best kept by themselves but regardless they continue to remain popular and sell out every time we get them.
2" Albino Bushynose came in late last week. Size and color on these are great making them an outstanding value. Definitely grab these over the regulars.
Large Albino Bushynose continue to come in as absolute monsters. I'm always amazed at how well they sell but there are plenty of people out there looking for bigger fish and considering how small the regulars have been for so long this is a better option for a lot of customers.
Venezuelan Black Cories have been here a few weeks now and are holding up great. This is a far east strain but for whatever reason these always seem to hold up better for us than some of the Czech strains we've gotten in the past. Plus these are BLACK, not charcoal gray like some othre variants out there.
Spotted Puffers been here long enough to settle in and really color up. Plus it's given them time to really fatten up those bellies:)
