XL Red Spot Gold Severum-only have a couple pieces available at this size but have plenty of the mediums from the same strain
GloFish® Pristellas are back in stock this week! Check with Brody as to which colors are available.
GloFish® Starfire Red ® Angelfish large
Lots of fun new stuff this week but what I'm guessing most people are going to be excited about are the GloFish® Pristellas being back stock. Availability has been almost nonexistent this summer so hopefully we're finally starting to turn the corner and we'll start seeing these available more frequently.

In non GloFish® news we got another nice shipment in from Colombia. More restocks on some of the usual suspects but also got in a few items we haven't had in quite some time. Most exciting have to be the Yellowtail Barracuda and the Jaguar Duckbill Cats. Still have some of the Peacock bass from the last shipment which is very surprising. Down to about maybe twenty pieces so if you didn't get a chance to pick some up last week now is definitely the time because these are sure to run out and size on these is perfect.

Plenty of nice sized Florida raised fish listed down below. As the temps start to cool down size and availability are bound to change significantly. Come winter we often have to rely on far east versions on a lot of the common stock items and this can result in much smaller sized fish so I would definitely recommend stocking up as much as you can. That way when your competition can only offer smaller sized fish you will be able to charge more for what you've stocked up on. Let us know if you have any questions

Another fun week for Colombia. Highlight of the shipment are the Yellowtail Barracuda or pike characin or Acestrorhynchus microlepis, regardless these are toothy and impressive. Average about 5" they will most likely need feeders to begin and some cover so they don't smash into glass. I am very tempted to finally start a monster setup with the barracuda, sabertooth, peacock bass, flagtail proch, and arowana (you should convince your customers!).

Also got in some Jaguar Unicorn Duckbill Woodcats or just Ageneiosus magoi. Been awhile since we've had these in and really nice size on this batch. Not overtly aggressive, but will probably eat anything they can fit in their mouth. For other catfish should have more bb cats, farlowellas, royal farlowellas (on special again), and pictus. Had to sit on the pygmy corys towards the end of last week, but got a new batch in. Also more skunk, "agassizii", and a few punctatus corys. For plecos got in more snowballs, royals and still have huge L-200s (see picture).

Got in a nice batch of Archers this week. While technically a brackish water species I've seen them kept in hard freshwater and hold up just fine. However it's not a bad idea to put a little bit of salt on them when they first arrive to help them acclimate better. Also got in some very nice Green Scats and these I definitely would put salt on. These can come in a little rough sometimes but these are holding up really well and look great.

Gold Dojos are back in stock and finally with some pretty good size to them. Been coming in fairly small as of late but these are very nice sized. On the opposite end of the spectrum are the Emperor and Black Emperor Tetras. Both are rather small but look very nice. The Black Emperors are showing a nice purple sheen which is unusual at this size.

Got restocked on Tiger Shovelnose and baby SA Redtail cats. Both will out grow most aquariums and will eventually require very large accommodations i.e. an indoor pond. Be sure your customers are aware of this before purchasing them.

Lots of nice Florida raised fish again this week. One of the best looking items out there are the Glass Rosy Barbs. These have been available on and off through out the summer but the size has been pretty small and color has been rather underwhelming. Not true this week . These are some of the nicest I've seen in a long time. Really good size and excellent color. The other standout this week are the GloFish® Barbs. The Electric Greens® and the Starfire Reds® are absolute monsters. Some of the biggest I've ever seen. Not quite as big but showing good color this week as well are the Black Ruby Barbs. Probably coming to the end of the season where these are still big enough to be in color so stock up while you can.

Most Florida raised Gouramis are still running big, especially the Pearls. Keep coming in solid with great color. Mediums are available again this week but the regulars are just as nice. Got in some absolutely gigantic Golds this week (check out pic down below) not sure if they'll keep coming in this big but these are as big as I've ever seen. Opalines not nearly as big but still very nice.

Still have some very nice Tetras coming in but as the temps start to drop so will the size. Red Eyes proportionally are probably the most impressive. Probably the biggest I've seen them all summer. Got in both regular and albino Silver Tip Tetras. Both have really nice color. Regular Von Rios also came in with good color and these are definitely one of my favorites. They've become less common over the years as popularity has given way to the orange morph which is too bad as I feel the wild variant is a much prettier fish when fully grown.

    Weekly Specials
Another week of great specials. I bring them up every week and will continue to till they're no longer as impressive, medium Electric Blue Acara. Cannot emphasize enough what a better value these are over the regulars both in size and color. Sticking with cichlids for the moment, have both Bifasciatus and Blue Umbees on special this week as well. If you're not familiar with these Google some pics of them as adults. Both are very impressive and not very common so they're sure to attract the cichlid aficionados.

As mentioned last week we accidentally ended up with an abundance of Royal Farlowellas so they're on special again this week . This puts them at an excellent price point so you can pass the savings on to your customers to help generate some much needed revenue this time of year. Got in some Albino Paleatus Corys this week. These are different form the typical Albino type which is based off of the Aeneus species. These have a mush more metallic sheen to them that definitely helps them to stand out.

Still have quite a few large Spotted Puffers in stock which just goes to show that we're definitely in the slower time of year. If it were January these would be long gone. Size is very nice and color is very bright on these. Also still on hand are Indo raised Frontosas, Bloodfin Tetras and Sparkling Gouramis. All very nice and great value.
