Dave is out of town, so highlights this week will be showcasing our Brazil shipment. The majority of the order was gold nugget types including L-18s, L-14s, and L-177s. They are going quick! The L-18s are always the first to sell out, but in in my opinion the L-177 Iriris are just as nice if not nicer. L-14 Goldies are the biggest of the bunch and probably the most spectacular. Remember these will all do best will fast flowing, well oxygenated water and plenty of meaty foods to supplement their diet.
The L-114 Leopard Cactus Plecos are small now, but will get up to 10" when fully grown and sport a large impressive sailfin, a showpiece fish. Lesser known than the classic Blue-Eyed Panaque, the L-137 Blue-Eyed Red-Fin Pleco are the biggest of the group. These would probably benefit with some wood to munch on and will get bigger as well. Last, but not least are the L-47 Mango or Magnum Plecos. Relative of the Gold Nuggets, they have very showy orange seamed fins.
Rounding out the shipment are the Sheepshead Tiger Pacu, which although are smaller growing than their cousins, can be nippy (just ask Dave when he tried taking the picture). Also got in Redtail Barracuda which compliment the Yellowtails from Colombia (only a few pieces left). Feel free to reach out with any questions.
